I have known a few people who are gay. I probably know other people who are gay, but I am not aware that they are gay.
If you are one my friends who is gay then, "Hi!". : )
I do NOT know much about the feelings of people who are gay and who are also members of the Church, but I know that some of those people still come to church because they believe it is where they need to be, and they know that they learn so much from being a part of the Church, and they receive blessings by being obedient to God's commandments.
I know that if gay people do not act on their feelings, and they remain chaste, then they are not committing sin.
I also believe that Jesus Christ atoned for those of us who repent.
Either way, in the end, I believe that it will be a win-win situation for those who are sincere and who want to follow Jesus and be with God forever.
Take a look at what's on the website below. Read the words.
Watch the various videos of both Church leaders and members.
If you have a son or a daughter or any family member who is gay, and you are struggling to accept them because they are gay, then just take a deep breath.
We're all in this life together. We all have feelings. We all have firm beliefs.
It's going to be O.K.

Being Mormon and Gay
When you go to the above website, there are two videos on the right side. The first is a short video of Elder Oaks describing what the Church's doctrine is, and what the website's focus is.
Underneath that video is a video of Elder D. Todd Christofferson talking about the purpose of the website.
Elder Christofferson has a unique perspective on the matter because his brother is gay. You can read a short article and watch a short video of him being interviewed if you click on the link below:
