Gospel instruction is best learned in the home. Help your children understand that they are doing enough if they are on the right path, headed in the right direction, and if they are trying to be and do good.
The important part is that we are trying, and that we want to please God and live with Him again.
The desires of our hearts will be one of the keys to being able to live with God again. The other key is Jesus. Those are the main two things you need.
The things that we DO, show God that we really do want to be with Him. They do not pay the price for entry into His kingdom. Jesus has already done that.
